Why I Don’t Sell My Content

I mentioned in my first blog that it took me years to publish a website. One reason was because so many people use their websites to make money by charging for their content. Making money is their main agenda. I hated that thought! You can also plaster your website with advertisements. Don’t you hate it when you have to swim through a maze of pop-up ads!

As I tried to understand my aversion to publishing a website, I realized it all came down to money. I hated the idea of charging for something God gave me free of charge. Once this was made clear to me, I simply took the issue off the table. Problem solved. Press Publish!

My aversion was founded in the fact that my message and content is not mine. So, how can I charge for it? The message I have is God’s message to women (and men in principle). I am just the one God chose to deliver it. Another reason is this…God’s Word is a gift of grace. In grace, God provides everything he wants us to know - free of charge. If God does not charge, who am I to charge for a message that He provided me in grace. Trust me, I am amazed that God chose me to deliver this message, but He did. His charge to me is to simply deliver it.

I am not speaking negative towards those who charge for their content. For many, it is their only means of income that God provided them. I can only speak for myself. God has provided greatly for my husband and I. We are content and live a beautiful life of grace. We have resolved that anything God provides is in His hands, not ours. We have resolved to follow God and His direction for our lives and leave the results to Him. That is our motto.

And finally, I want nothing to stand in the way of women using the content on this site. It is my job to present the message clearly and factually, with the results left in God’s hands. I won’t measure the success of this site by the income it produces. Rather I measure its success by the impact it has on the lives of the women it reaches.

I am grateful for God’s provision in all aspects of my life and especially in regard to this site. I pray it will bless you as much as it has me.

Cheers to God’s Grace!
